Neuro Centre Rigshospitalet implements Chroma Zenit in +100 rooms

Patients and staff in the departments of Brain and Neuro Diseases, Brain and Neurosurgery, as well as in Epilepsy Monitoring, will now receive evidence-based circadian lighting from Chromaviso. This means that Anders West's research, which demonstrates the compelling effects of Chroma Zenit on depression, fatigue, well-being, anxiety, and circadian rhythm, will be implemented. These factors are crucial for the patients' treatment outcomes and quality of life.

At the same time, the staff will be provided with a healthy, blue-free, and wide-spectrum light during the night shift. They will also have the option to customize the lighting individually for each situation in the +100 rooms spread across three floors.

About the solution

  • Installed as a retrofit in the new construction due to a request from the clinical staff to have circadian lighting as a treatment - just like they had for over 8 years before the move.
  • In collaboration with CEJ - Center for Ejendomme, Region Hovedstaden, we have created a solution with DMX-KNX integration.
  • This means that Chroma Zenit circadian lighting taps into the new Building Management System of the North Wing and can be controlled via KNX.
  • A comprehensive turnkey solution that ensures high reliability and promotes health.

Many thanks to the numerous partners involved in the Neurocenter project, CEJ. We eagerly anticipate implementing the new solution and making a significant impact on both patients and staff.
